10 August 2009 - DTL Is Now Part Of The OVI Group
We are delighted to announce
that on 03 August 2009 a majority shareholding
in Damper Technology Ltd was acquired by Orbinox Valves International
(OVI).
Based in San Sebastian, Spain, Orbinox are a well renowned global brand name within the valve industry. Since their inception in the 1960’s they have progressed into an international group with annual revenues of approx €50m, employing around 300 people. With a global presence in some 70 countries they continue to service many industries in which DTL are actively engaged.
This acquisition is a very positive step for DTL. The existing OVI worldwide presence and infrastructure presents an excellent opportunity for DTL to further expand our overseas operations over the coming years which will undoubtedly bring benefits to many of our customers.
Our current directors will remain as shareholders and have made long term commitments to both the group and the future development of the company. I will remain in my position as Managing Director and together with our existing management and staff look forward to serving your requirements for many years to come.

24 April 2009 - DTL To Supply Dampers On Environmental Project
Damper Technology Ltd are pleased
to announce that we have secured a multi million pound order to supply
a range of industrial isolation and control dampers for a new SCR system
being built in the UK.
SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) Technology reduces NOx emmissions
produced as a result of coal fired power generation and helps to clean
up our environment, protect local air quality from pollution and prevent
acid rain. The dampers supplied by DTL will form an integral part of this
new installation.
01 April 2009 - New Addition To Contracts Team
DTL are pleased to welcome an additional member to our contracts team. Phil Chester-Nash joins us on 1st April 2009 in the position of Contracts Engineer to strengthen our project engineering/management function. As an experienced engineer and qualified to MPhil he is a valuable recruit and is looking forward to getting his teeth into some of the new projects currently being secured.

11 April 2008 - DTL Relocate To New Premises.
DTL are pleased to announce that we have now relocated to new premises. Less than one mile from our existing offices, our new premises are substantially larger and will allow us to bring our office functions, spare parts, and archive facility all under one roof. 22 November 2007 - New ERP System.
As part of our commitment to continued growth and improved efficiency DTL are pleased to announce that we have today signed a contract for the implementation of a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. SAP Business One will be installed, configured and tailored to our requirements over the next few weeks before going live in the run up to Christmas.
We anticipate that this considerable investment will improve control of project execution and associated costs and promote the best use of our existing resources, allowing us to focus even more clearly on our customers requirements.
12 September 2007 - The Rally Show !!
On 29th & 30th September 2007 our Technical Director will be taking part in the Rally Show at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire. Phil Dolby has built his replica Stratos from scratch and now takes part in regular "Sprint" competitions around the country. 23 December 2005 - Bill Retires.
After a long and distinguished career our Sales Engineer, Bill Saxton, has finally hung up his mouse. Bill turned 65 earlier in the week and now looks forward to a very active retirement along side his wife, Joan. Best wishes to Bill from all at DTL.

After over 35 years in the damper industry, one of our design engineer's, Charles Watkins, has finally logged off his CAD station for the last time. Charlie will turn 65 later this year and now looks forward to an early retirement along side his wife, Joan. Best wishes to Charlie from all at DTL.

16 August 2004 - DTL win major contract.
DTL sign a £1.1m order to supply FGD dampers to a major power station in the far east. The dampers will be designed and manufactured in the UK and exported in staged deliveries commencing December 2004.

07 June 2003 - 3 Peaks Challenge !
On 12th June our Managing Director, Mark Hancock, will be embarking on the 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for one of the local nursery & infants schools. The challenge, which has been organised by AUMA UK in conjunction with an Outdoor Activities company, comprises climbing the 3 highest mountains in England, Wales & Scotland, one after the other. Whilst Mark has some feelings of dread over the forthcoming task in hand, the worthy cause will make the effort worth while. On 20th June 2003 DTL will be relocating to prestigious new purpose built offices near to Ilkeston town centre.
