With over 10,000 dampers out in service and the increasing requirement for routine maintenance and retrofit on this equipment, DTL have introduced a dedicated service department to ensure a more pro-active approach to customers after market needs and to cater for increased and future demand for these services.

Glenn Bull joined DTL in February in the newly created role of PRODUCT SUPPORT MANAGER.  Glenn has an extensive engineering background in after market account management, and will now take responsibility for their complete industrial damper product range in terms of the supply of spare parts and all site activities (installation and installation supervision, commissioning, operator training, inspection, surveys and maintenance).

The department will offer site visits and inspections, for all DTL, Becorit & Herwig & Effox UK dampers, and through extensive archive files and drawings, they will be able to reproduce and reissue existing Operation & Maintenance Manuals, carry out damper adjustments to improve sealing efficiency and repair damaged and split damper frames.  This support extends to the SPECIALIST OFFSHORE Damper equipment, actuation and controls supplied by DTL over many years, for many of the world’s foremost oil & gas and power generation companies.

DTL also announce the further strengthening of their dedicated team of skilled service engineers with the appointment of Mark Edwards.  Mark joins DTL’s team of fully qualified and certified engineers to provide service inspections onshore and offshore worldwide.

With this commitment from DTL, reassurance to clients will come with a detailed service report, recommendations, updated spare parts lists and an improvement plan to ensure their dampers remain in operation for many more years to come.
