On 8 January 2026, Damper Technology Ltd reaches an important milestone: 25 years in business. Founded in 2001 as a specialist engineering company providing high-quality industrial damper solutions, from the outset the focus was on engineering integrity, responsiveness, and building long-term customer relationships.
Like many specialist engineering companies, the early years were defined by small teams, big ambitions, and learning with every project delivered. Our commitment was full, the days were long, and the challenges of establishing a new business were tough. But we thrived on the challenge, and over the years, DTL has grown steadily into a trusted international partner supporting demanding applications worldwide.
Joining the Orbinox Group – A Defining Moment
A key moment in the journey came in August 2009, when Damper Technology Ltd joined the Orbinox Valves International Group. Becoming part of the Group strengthened our global reach, opened new markets, and accelerated our development—while allowing us to retain the agility, specialist expertise and customer focus that define DTL.
Since joining Orbinox, the business has expanded its engineering capability and international footprint, delivering projects across power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, renewable energy and carbon-capture sectors. More recently, strategic investment in in-house manufacturing has further enhanced control over quality, lead times and flexibility.
People at the Heart of the Journey
But above all, this milestone is about people. The teams at Damper Technology Ltd in United Kingdom, Denmark, India and North America, together with colleagues across the Orbinox Group, who have played a vital role in the company’s success through collaboration, shared expertise and a common commitment to engineering excellence and customer service.
