DTL India opens 30, 000 sq. ft. fabrication and assembly plant in Southern India

Damper Technology Ltd’s (DTL) Indian subsidiary company, DTL India, has opened its purpose built fabrication and assembly plant, in Coimbatore, Southern India.  The build project has been ongoing for 18 months and has been overseen by UK based Operations Development Manager, Mr Phillip Chester-Nash. The manufacturing plant is now at the point of operation, and all further Indian contracts will be produced in the new premises.

A Pooja ceremony took place in October 2015 to bless the factory and this opened the door to the machinery and project work to begin taking place in the new facility.  The Pooja ceremony was attended by UK staff and more photographs of the ceremony can be seen in our galleries section.

Indian Factory The design of the factory is very impressive, in its newness and size, and the DTL India staff has great enthusiasm in the work starting in there.  Its presence will support applications for Government and Industrial registrations which will allow DTL India to participate in bids and advocate them as a preferred or approved manufacturer for domestic and international opportunities.

The facility has the potential to stand as a good ambassador to represent DTL’s commitment to quality, excellence and capabilities to clients who visit, and as an emblematic flagship for DTL globally.

Suresh Menon, Managing Director of DTL India said: “We are registering with large power producers and Oil & Gas industry EPC contractors, OEMs and consultants; these will expose us to more clients and put us on the map for more domestic market opportunities.  The factory also now fulfils one of the primary goals and that is to enable us to make larger dampers, especially for the Indian domestic markets.”

DTL India was incorporated in 2011 and has established a strong presence in the Indian damper marketplace since it began operating.
