DTL exhibiting at Carbon Capture Technology World Expo 2026

Damper Technology Ltd is currently exhibiting at Carbon Capture Technology World Expo 2026, taking place from 20–22 October at Hamburg Messe, Germany.

Jose, Kim and Mark are representing DTL at the event, meeting customers, partners and industry professionals and discussing how our specialist damper solutions can support the demanding requirements of carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) applications.

As investment in carbon capture technology continues to grow, reliable flow control equipment has an important role to play in the safe and efficient operation of these facilities. DTL’s extensive experience in designing and manufacturing engineered dampers for demanding industrial applications enables us to support both new-build CCUS projects and the adaptation of existing plants.

The exhibition brings together more than 1,000 exhibiting companies from across the hydrogen and carbon capture industries and provides a great opportunity to discuss forthcoming projects and the technologies helping to drive the transition towards lower-carbon industrial processes.

If you’re attending the exhibition in Hamburg, come along and meet the DTL team – Jose, Kim and Mark would be delighted to see you on stand 4D50.
What is Carbon Capture and Why is it Important?

Carbon capture and storage (CCS) involves capturing CO₂ emissions at their source—typically from industrial flue gases—then transporting and storing the CO₂ safely underground or using it in other industrial processes. It is recognised by the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the UK Government as a vital part of achieving climate goals.

Without CCS, many industrial sectors would struggle to meet emissions targets while remaining economically viable. DTL are providing dampers for flagship carbon capture project designed to decarbonise multiple facilities across the region, showcasing how shared infrastructure and innovation can drive real impact.

Where are DTL Dampers Used in Carbon Capture Projects?

Industrial dampers play an essential role in the safe and efficient operation of CCS systems. DTL dampers are used throughout the carbon capture process, including:

  • Corrosive Environments
  • Flue Gas Ducting
  • Bypass and Diverter Systems
  • Process Isolation
  • Corrosive Environments: Handling aggressive gas streams that may include particulates, solvents, and residual acids.
  • Flue Gas Ducting: Regulating and isolating high-temperature gas flows upstream of the carbon capture plant.
  • Bypass and Diverter Systems: Managing flow between capture units and exhaust stacks during startup, shutdown, or maintenance operations.
  • Process Isolation: Providing 100% process sealing for safety-critical operations and plant efficiency.

Each damper is engineered for high-integrity sealing, corrosion resistance, and reliable performance in demanding operational conditions.
